About Chris

I have been a sailor since a young boy sailing Sunfish, Hobies and windsurfing on the beaches of Lake Michigan. Later crewing large sailboats out of Chicago. My career in the Oil & Gas Industry often placed me near some some ideal sailing spots from San Francisco, Holland, England, Pakistan (yes), Indonesia, South America and Australia. Adding in snorkling, scuba, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and power boat sports and my love for the water is complete.

I have always had a dream to own a big cruising sailboat. As an engineer I have an addiction to tinker with engines, boats and sails. Our ownership of Heliades will fulfill my sailing dreams - where ever the winds will lead us.
